Shelley Echtle, 48, is the director of the North Texas Fibromyalgia Support Group. With 218 members enjoying weekly socials and monthly lectures, she seeks diversity in presentations and shares information from many sources she pulls from the internet and printed publication.

She is leading a seminar during Invisible Illness Week called, “Healthy Boundaries with a Chronic Illness.”

She came up with this clever idea of seed packets and was able to get Target to donate 500 of the packets they had on clearance! (Way to go!) She says, “We did a double hole punch in top of packets of seeds, and then tied with purple and yellow ribbons and are doing a booth that week at a health fair passing those out with our business cards. People get a free packet of seeds, our card and your information! I just think it is a cool little something.”

We agreed and thought we’d share her idea with you! Shelley lives with with Fibromyalgia, Spinal Stenosis, Hypothyroidism and Arthritis. Find out more about her North Texas Fibromyalgia Support and Meetup Group at http://fibromyalgia.meetup.com/285
